Since its August 2010 opening, our school has received a flattering amount of attention from local and national media outlets. We are very proud of our school and happy to see the news spread.
Most recently, on Dec. 2, Georgia Public Broadcasting aired a report about state-chartered schools and featured The Museum School. See the GPB story here.
The Museum School was honored also to be mentioned in the Oct. 10 edition of Parade Magazine in an article featuring country musician Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland. We are particularly honored to be the beneficiary of support from Attic Community Playground, begun by Nettles and Eddie's Attic founder Eddie Owen. ACP recently donated musical supplies to the school, and we are very grateful. We are excited about the opportunities ahead for collaboration between The Museum School and ACP.
In August 2010, 11 Alive News reporter Donna Lowry visited the school to learn about our curriculum model and school developm ent. Ms. Lowry and her photographer visited our second grade class during a math lesson and later talked to Principal Katherine Kelbaugh and Board Chair Sasha Webb. In addition, the Dekalb Neighbor featured our school in a recent edition of the newspaper. Click here to read the article.
