Request for Proposals for a General Contractor

The Museum School, a Charter Elementary school operating within the DeKalb County School System, is seeking a highly qualified General Contractor (“GC”) to provide professional services for the construction of a new 4,500 square feet 1-story Media Center as well as the renovation and conversion of an existing approximately 2,300 square feet classroom into two classrooms and a teacher work room.

The new Media Center will be connected to an existing brick school building. The project scope includes the creation of an opening through an existing brick and concrete block wall such that the Media Center and school will have a permanent physical connection. The Media Center’s structural frame will be steel and its exterior wall system a combination of brick veneer, fiber cement panels, aluminum storefront and exterior windows. The roof will be a fully adhered PVC membrane. The project will also include built-in casework and other miscellaneous design elements. A new exterior Courtyard and Patio, also included in the scope of this project, will be accessed through an operable glass paneled garage door.


Request for Proposals for Afterschool Services

The Museum School of Avondale Estates is seeking qualified vendors to provide proposals for afterschool services for the 2018 – 2019 school year. Request for Proposals for Security Surveillance System

The Museum School, a Charter Elementary school operating within the DeKalb County School System, is seeking a highly qualified contractor to procure and deploy an IP / network based Security Surveillance System.

The Security Surveillance System shall include the supply and installation of both interior and exterior cameras as well as a Network Video Recorder, PoE network switches and other network connectivity. Existing fiber optic cable with spare strands shall be utilized for this project.

Existing analog cameras are to be removed and turned over to TMS. All of the low voltage cable associated with the existing analog cameras is to be removed and discarded. The new IP / network based cameras shall require the installation of CAT 6 cable. The Contractor is responsible for the supply and installation of all CAT 6 cable required for the IP / network based Video Surveillance System.

Please note that sixteen additive alternates are included in the RFP. Additive Alternates 1 through 14 are for the installation of additional cameras. Additive Alternate 15 is for the supply and installation of BAS keypads as described by the contract documents. Finally, Additive Alternate 16 is for the supply, installation and programming of a fully functional duress alarm system.
