A message from board chair, Andy Huff:
Great News for The Museum School
During the state of Georgia’s Board of Education meeting this afternoon, the board voted to renew our school charter for another five-year term!
With the state’s approval today and the DeKalb County Board of Education’s approval in November, we now have the continued legal authority to operate as a charter school for the next five years.
Over the next few weeks, you will be hearing more about the changes included in our new five-year charter. These changes are important for the school’s continued growth and success and I encourage you to join us at the State of the School address on April 13th to hear more.
In the meantime, please join me in thanking Principal Kelbaugh and her staff, the TMS Governing Board, the Charter Renewal Committee and all the other dedicated TMS parents and volunteers who brought us over the finish line. This afternoon’s vote was the culmination of A LOT of hard work and has been of the highest priority for the Governing Board for the past two years.
I know each of you share in our success today.
Please do not hesitate to call or email me should you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Andy Huff
