We need your old tennis shoes! The TMS Girls on the Run team is collecting used running shoes (or any rubber-soled shoes) for our Eco-Sneakers Challenge. Eco-Sneakers makes these shoes available as affordable footwear in developing countries or gives them to agencies working with emergency relief programs. Eco-Sneakers donates 75 cents a pound back to Girls on the Run. (Did you know that a pair of sneakers can weigh up to 2 pounds, so that’s approximately $1.50 per pair of shoes.?) A win-win-win for the planet, people, in need of shoes, as well as Girls on the Run of Atlanta.
Please send in all shoe donations by Friday, November 11, 2016. Collection boxes will be located around the school. Let’s see if together we can collect 100 pairs of shoes for this great cause!
