Do you have life experience or tips for navigating the world that you’d like to share with our middle schoolers? We are looking to have guest speakers at our middle school Village Meetings who can give a motivational speech on the topic, “One Thing I Know For Sure.” Our goal is to give students a glimpse of what life looks like outside of their own experience, and to give them some examples of positive mindsets that can help them succeed (to support the use of our 7 Mindsets curriculum in advisory).
As a result, we are looking for a variety of diverse perspectives and experiences to share with our students. If you are a leader in our community or know someone who is, and would like to spread your message to our young men and and women … use this form to express your interest and share your dates of availability.
Most Village Meetings are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday mornings. We would look for speeches to last around 10 – 15 minutes, with time for a question and answer session afterward. Thank you in advance for your help! Questions? Email ashley.beebe@themuseumschool.org.
