Kindergarten Teacher
Education: I am a graduate of Brenau Woman’s College in Gainesville Ga. where I received my Bachelors of Science in Early childhood Education in 1991. My teaching experiences ranges from teaching first grade, Kindergarten and Pre-School while in DeKalb County, Saint Thomas More Catholic School and Decatur Presbyterian Children’s Community. I am trained in Ortin-Gilliham which is an approach to teaching not only children who are struggling with letter recognition and sounds but all beginning readers, a certified as a Responsive Classroom Teacher, and hold a Gifted Endorsement from TMS.
My Teaching philosophy is to teach each child through real life experiences, hands on approach, positive atmosphere, while challenging them to be self-learners. To find out what their best way my students learns and provide them with the materials needed in order to become a successful l learners.
