Fourth-grade students studied the essential causes of the American Revolution. More specifically, they studied the debt after the French and Indian War, the Stamp Act, the Boston
Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, and the battles of Lexington and Concord. The projects showcase the beginning and build-up of the revolutionary movement in colonial America.
Fourth-grade students learned about a variety of people who were significant during the American Revolution. Students brought history to life by “becoming” an individual from the Revolutionary Movement and recording themselves in various forms. Students’ recordings include I AM poems, interviews, and monologues.
