Learning expeditions are well underway at The Museum School!
Recently, our first grade explorers visited the Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville, Georgia. Unit 1 dives deep into “A Day in the Life of a Scientist”, and the Magnet Mania program at Tellus fits perfectly into the curriculum.
Museum Liason Teresa Chiofalo shares some wonderful feedback regarding this recent visit:
Hi Teresa,
I wanted to send a quick note to let you know how pleased we were to have The Museum School at Tellus. Today was our first day of field trip programs, so they were our first group of the year and my staff said they were the perfect group to start the year with. One of my staff (in our meeting before your group arrived), when she heard which school we had, said, “Oh, I love The Museum School!”
Thank you for arranging to have your first graders here; we look forward to many visits throughout this school year!
– Allison Winzurk, General Science Program Manager Tellus Science Museum
We are grateful to Tellus for their outstanding educational programming, and proud of our young Explorers for always showing core values while out in the field. Be sure to check out the first grade hallway during the October 6th Exhibit Night for a science showcase.
